Globe HopeWe all want to dress our children in funky clothes whilst keeping a clear conscious about the cost to the environment. Enter ultra-cool kids clothes label Globe Hope which was formed with the ethos too create collections based on ecological and ethical consumption.
Formed in 2002 by innovative designer Seija Lukkala, she was inspired by her worry that so much that could still be of use to the world was simply going to waste. She formed a team of like-minded and equally talented designers with the intention of taking what was considered waste by others and giving it a new life and new purpose as part of a range of clothes suitable for all.
They collected fabrics from a wide and varied range of sources where waste was endemic, such as old hospital textiles, army wear and work outfits. These were then modified and shaped by the accomplished and ingenious Globe Hope crew and the first collection was launched in Spring 2003 to a rapturous reception.
Since then the label has gone from strength to strength and when we caught sight of their range of ethical children's clothes, we couldn't resist! There's something special about such unique garments which have been created with a combined love for the environment and the aesthetic.
Their collection is clear and immediate proof that dressing your child in an ethically conscious manner needn't be dull or drab. We're sure that your little one will agree that it's simply fabulous to dress funky and with a clear conscious!
Adults and kids in Finland and eleven other countries have been enjoying the Globe Hope range for some time now and we're delighted to make them available through the site.
