The Herbal Workshop Urtasmidjan is an Icelandic family run company that has produced SÓLA skin products for the last 19 years from Icelandic herbs and other natural ingredients. Production is based on traditional methods combined with a modern knowledge and research of the beneficial properties of the herbs.

At Nordic Kids, we think that their baby skin care products and healing balms and salves are simple wondrous! Couple that with the knowledge that there cant be many places more free from pollution that Iceland and you can buy in confidence that your little one is receiving what we consider to be the best baby skin care products available.

The choice of products in their range is ideal for treating everything from nappy rash, skin burn, sun eczema, dry spots, sore and cracked nipples as well as including a baby massage oil that can also be used in the bath or on a pregnant womans stomach before and after delivery to help provide the skin with moisture and elasticity.

The herbs are hand picked in the northern parts of Iceland where they grow wild in their natural and pure habitat. The Icelandic certification office Tún has certified these locations as organic. Any other herbs used in the product process have also been internationally certified as organic.

Urtasmidjan only uses pure, natural and organic raw materials, for example unbleached beeswax, cocoa- and shea-butter, corn and soy wax, herbal oils, Omega 3,6 and 9 oils f.ex. evening-primrose oil, rose hips and sea buckthorn.

The products contain no chemical products, no colourings, parabens, chemical scents, alcohol or petroleum based products like Vaseline, petrolatum, paraffin or animal derivative products.

Absolutely no testing is done on animals at any stage during the development and production of the Urtasmidjan range and everything is handmade from beginning to end.
