In 2005, Katrine Collette and Vigga Svensson were rummaging through the attic of Vigga's mother's house in Copenhagen when they came across an old bedspread with which they fell in love. Inspired by this, they set about designing colourful and stylish clothes for children under the Katvig label.
Katvig has now established itself as a premium supplier of clothes for modern kids of fashion-conscious parents in Denmark. This represented the perfect opportunity for Nordic Kids to introduce some of the range to the UK, with their brown and white striped sweatshirt or yellow boilersuit being beautiful examples.
As a label, Katvig is inspired by the uncomplicated aesthetics of the 1970's - they prefer corduroy, denim, cotton jersey and velour, and they love flashy colours! The latest products to emerge from the design house have expanded on this ideal to include items featuring patches and oval pockets and the range also includes great basics like the popular broad striped cotton wear series.
The distinctive identity represented by Katvig clothes is strongly rooted in Denmark, with the reliable production process and attention to detail on all items you would expect from a Scandinavian brand.
With their products now available in 15 countries, the eye catching and spectacular clothes from the Katvig collections seem set to be an essential part of the wardrobe for cool kids around the globe!
