As one of the former head designers at Danish label Mini A Ture, Marlene Anine Hamann Holmboe had an impeccable pedigree with which to start her own label. And so it was, after teaming up with retail expert Lars Ellebaek, MarMar Copenhagen was born in June 2008.
With a goal to achieve toned down elegance for children, where romantic appearance and sharp graphic prints are the contrasts the label strives to offer a window into a world of fashion for little people that creates its own subtle style statement.
With detailing restricted to only the most important elements and muted colour tones, it can almost come as a surprise to find an eye-catching twist on one of their garments. We were certainly delighted with concept and the result!
Inspired by so much from the past, from vintage fashion silhouettes through to old books, movies and photos, MarMar Copenhagen is contrasting mix of contemporary and classic.
