Since 1979, Finnish author Mauri Kunnas has created captivating worlds in a series of illustrated children's books that have covered stories that may already be familiar to adults in a child friendly manner.
The stars of his stories are in an instantly recognisable style, often clothed animals taking the part of humans to add to the fun! Starting off with The Book Of Finnish Elves which told the story of those household guardian spirits that dwell in Finnish houses his story-telling was instantly loved by children.
