When Swedish mum Anna Wetterlin saw her toddler tearing around her house in London without a care in a world she suddenly understood why it was that moccasins are considered such an essential in Sweden. Even to the extent that Swedish virtually every Swedish nursery has "moccasins basket"!
However, she also realised that for moccasins to interest a non-Scandinavian audience they would also need to have a distinct and appealing design, especially if they were aimed at children. With this in mind she set to work and created Moccis.
We took one look at Moccis and couldn't resist the designs that she had come up with! From 'Miss Mjuao' through to 'Over The Rainbow' we knew that these were going to be a huge hit with children and parents alike.
Moccasins mean no more slipping and sliding, no more cold feet and missing single socks and no more dirty shoes indoors. All things which any parent can appreciate and as the designs are so much fun, there are unlikely to be any arguments about putting them on. In fact, trying and get them off your little one's feet may be more of a problem!
In order to ensure the best possible quality, Moccis are made in Sweden of natural ecotex certified materials. The leather sole is durable and flexible, allowing the foot to move freely and muscles to develop. The moccasin has sewed in double elastic at the ankle which will prevent it from falling off and the characteristic zigzag seam is even sewed by hand. Even better, Moccis are machine washable!
We think moccasins for children may truly have arrived over here thanks to Anna and her fabulous Moccis!
